Thrift Store Finds

I wanted to share a few of my thrifting finds. I can't share them all because that would most likely take all day. Keep in mind that the majority of these pics were taken in my hideous bedroom (basement remodel will commence in January of 2013) and that I had neither showered nor combed my hair before taking them.

I just know that if I wait until I take better photos that I actually like (a nearly impossible task), I'll never get around to posting about thrifting and really, I need to share these treasures with you.

This skirt is so full and fun and I'm pretty sure it was homemade.
I wish you could see it better.
The pattern has like five colors in it, making it perfect for my never ending obsession with solid tops.
And I've basically been living in this Hello Kitty sweatshirt.

I'm obsessed with patterned button ups.
I loved them underneath all of my solid sweaters.
As for this red top... I'm totally obsessed.
Whitney found it for me and it's vintage and I'm pretty sure it was made for me (before I was even born).

Utah hoodies are my favorite, especially when they are already broken in.

I'm certain that this yellow skirt is my favorite find so far.
Yellow is, in my opinion, a neutral, and a I love it.
This skirt is my favorite length and will go with so many things.
Plus, it will work for all seasons.
Awesome.

Stay tuned for more thrift store finds!

  1. I wrote a comment on your last thrifting post but my phone ate it. :p Which is why I never comment any more.

I LOVE thrifting!!!!! I go to the DIs in Provo and American Fork. The one in AF has the best stuff, and the best prices. I've picked up a pair of Jessica Simpson jeweled flats for $4, and a leather jacket for my husband for $25. (Whick felt like a LOT of money at a thrift store, but it was in perfect condition and fit him great.)

I've found shoes for my kids, but rarely fit cute clothes in good enough condition. I did get a cute leotard and dance shoes for Aubrey to wear when she's 3 and can finally join a dance class.

I also get a LOT of books at thrift stores. Especially now that my boys are in school and moving past picture books. I can buy a book for the same amount that I would normally pay the library in fines.

    1. I had that exact same thought about library fines yesterday. I find at least 2 books each time I go and I love it. $2 for a book that is basically new and was most likely read just once is pretty much the best thing ever!

I've never done clothes at the DI. Hopefully they will put a Goodwill down your way soon. I like it so much more than DI!

  2. Where are your favorite places to thrift? (Addresses please?) I agree that the DI in Provo is so picked over.

    1. The first Goodwill in Utah opened last fall and it's been great. It's in Millcreek on 9th east and 4500 south. They are opening another one in Midvale (I'm not sure of the address) within the next few months and I'm super excited about it. I like how organized Goodwill stores are and have consistently found great things there!
